Kementerian Energi dan Sumber Daya Mineral (ESDM) mencatat, sampai pada tahun 2024 ini Indonesia memiliki sebanyak 4.634 Izin Usaha Pertambangan (IUP) yang tersebar di seluruh wilayah Indonesia.
Dari 4.634 izin tersebut diantaranya terdiri dari 31 Kontrak Karya, lalu 59 Perjanjian Karya Pengusahaan Pertambangan Batubara (PKP2B) dan 4.302 Izin Usaha Pertambangan serta 10 Izin Usaha Pertambangan Khusus (IUPK).
“Untuk 10 IUPK ini adalah kepanjangan kontrak PKP2B maupun Kontrak Karya. Kemudian Izin Pertambangan Rakyat (IPR) ada 48 dan surat izin penambahan batuan ada 184,” ungkap Direktur Jenderal Mineral dan Batu Bara (Dirjen Minerba) Tri Winarno, saat Rapat Kerja (Raker) bersama Komisi 12 DPR, di Gedung DPR, Selasa (12/11/2024).
Selain itu, Tri mendetilkan, IUP dengan jumlah sebanyak 4.302 terdsiri dari mineral logam dan batu bara mencapai 1.700. Sementara itu, untuk mineral non logam dan batuan mencapai 2.500.
“Kemudian apabila kita pisahkan lagi yang mineral itu ada logam itu ada 886, batu bara ada 909 untuk batubara eksplorasi ada 12 status operasi produksi 897 dan untuk mineral logam status eksplorasi 16 operasi produksi 870,” jelas Tri Winarno
