Satu per satu pabrik tekstil di Tanah Air bertumbangan. Akibatnya, belasan ribu pekerja jadi korbannya, kehilangan pekerjaan dan sumber pendapatan.
Asosiasi Produsen Serat dan Benang Filament (APSyFI) mencatat, total ada 60 pabrik yang telah melakukan efisiensi dengan pengurangan produksi maupun pemutusan hubungan kerja (PHK) massal, bahkan berhenti total. Setidaknya, dari angka itu, ada lebih 30 pabrik yang dikonfirmasi telah tutup atau berhenti produksi secara total.
Dan, kabar buruk itu ternyata masih berlanjut.
Presiden Konfederasi Serikat Pekerja Nusantara (KSPN) Ristadi mengungkapkan, ada 2 pabrik tekstil yang memproduksi benang, telah mengumumkan penutupan pabrik. Selain itu, satu perusahaan terkait tekstil, yang memproduksi sepatu merek internasional, juga mengumumkan rencana PHK massal di pabriknya.
“Awal tahun 2025 sudah ada perusahaan yang plan PHK. Lokasinya ada di Kabupaten Tangerang, Kabupaten Subang, dan Kabupaten Bandung,” katanya kepada CNBC Indonesia, Rabu (8/1/2025).
“Yang di Kabupaten Bandung mau tutup, PHK 900-an pekerja. Dan yang di Subang, mau tutup, PHK sekitar 750 pekerja. Kedua perusahaan ini memproduksi benang. Penyebabnya masih sama, barang produksi tidak laku dan tidak ada pesanan dari buyer,” sebutnya.
Penutupan pabrik benang ini seakan mengonfirmasi, gelombang badai buruk di industri tekstil dan produk tekstil (TPT) nasional masih belum reda.
Bahkan, PHK massal yang terjadinya melanda pabrik-pabrik garmen, kini sudah mengarah ke pabrik bahan baku, yakni kain dan benang.
“Ini perusahaan yang lapor saya saja loh ya, yang tidak lapor dan tertutup banyak. Saya hanya mau bilang, 2025 pekerja ada yg menikmati kenaikan upah, tapi ada yg terancam PHK,” kata Ristadi.
Itulah sebabnya, tukas Ristadi, imbuh dia, data PHK yang dimiliki pemerintah selalu lebih rendah dari yang terjadi sebenarnya.
“Kemnaker (Kementerian Ketenagakerjaan) dan Dinas-Dinas tenaga kerja di daerah itu tidak jemput bola, cuma nunggu laporan dari pengusaha saja kalau ada PHK,” cetusnya.
“Kadang terjadi jika PHK tinggi, tapi karena kepentingan politis Kepala Daerahnya ya tidak diekspose karena takut dicap jelek kinerjanya. Apalagi kalau Kepala Daerahnya mau maju lagi,” ucap Ristadi.
Sementara itu, Kepala BKF Kementerian Keuangan Febrio Kacaribu dalam kesempatan terpisah mengungkapkan, tahun 2024 jumlah PHK di sektor tekstil mencapai 90.000 orang dan dari sektor pakaian atau produk tekstil mencapai 20.000. Dengan demikian totalnya mencapai 110.000 korban PHK.
“Memang ada satu dua sektor seerti tekstil dan pakaian itu masing-masing 90.000 dan 20.000 minus tetap seluruhnya kita naik di 4,8 juta tenaga kerja baru secara net,” ujarnya.
